The short version
Critical Gaming Hub doesn't ask for, collect or keep personal information. There are no accounts, no email sign-ups, no ads, no cookies, no analytics, no trackers and no fingerprinting, and this site loads nothing from anyone else's servers (no third-party fonts, scripts, videos or embeds).
Browsing this website
- The website itself stores nothing on your device. No cookies, no local storage.
- The trailer is a plain video file on our own site. It only starts downloading when you press play.
- Our pages don't send a "referrer" to other sites when you click a link.
Playing CLOSED CASKET
- The game saves your settings, key bindings, progress and unlocks in your own browser's local storage (or the desktop app's). It never leaves your device. Settings › "Reset all data" deletes it, or clear the site's data in your browser.
- The game can work offline once loaded: a small service worker keeps a copy of the game's own files. It never stores anything about you.
- Online rooms run on a relay server: players never connect to each other directly, so nobody in your crew sees your IP address. A room exists only in the server's memory while you're playing and is gone when everyone leaves. You get a random callsign; there's no name box and no text chat.
- The public room list shows only a random room name, the head count, the district and whether it's joinable. Private rooms are never listed.
- Report room sends only the room code and a category you pick from a list. Reports are kept for up to 14 days.
- Crew radio (voice chat) is off by default and 13+. If you switch it on, your voice goes live to the other players in the room who also have it on, through a relay that hides your IP. It is never recorded or stored. The microphone is only requested after you opt in. Until we switch the relay on, crew radio just says "not set up" and never connects.
- The dispatcher's voice lines are pre-recorded files fetched from our own site when they're about to play. Nothing about you is sent.
- The desktop app has no telemetry, no crash uploads and no auto-updater.
When you send us something
Our feedback form, alpha survey, ticket replies and contact form are the only places you can send us anything. Here is everything we store:
- the words you typed, the category you picked, the game version, and the day it arrived (not the time);
- for survey answers: the boxes you ticked;
- for private notes and contact messages: a scrambled fingerprint (an HMAC hash) of your ticket code, so the right person can find the thread again. We never store the code itself.
We don't store your IP address, name, email, phone number, browser, device, location or exact time. There are no columns for them in our database. Before anything is saved, our server automatically removes text that looks like an email address or phone number.
Please don't type personal information into the forms. If you do anyway, we delete it when we see it.
Spam protection
To stop floods, our form server counts how many times it's been used recently. It does this in memory only, using a scrambled key made from your connection address plus a random secret that changes every day. The key and the secret are never written down anywhere, and the counts disappear at the end of the day or whenever the server restarts. Forms also have a hidden field that only bots fill in, and a check that the form wasn't sent within a few seconds of opening. No captcha, no third-party anti-bot service.
Public notes
If you choose Public, your note may be shown on the public wall after we read and approve it. You can ask us to take it down any time through the contact form (quote the note). Private notes are only ever seen by the studio.
How long we keep things
- Rejected public notes: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Closed tickets and their replies: deleted automatically 90 days after they're closed.
- Open tickets, approved wall notes and survey answers: kept while they're useful. Survey answers are anonymous tick boxes, so they can't be linked to you.
- Want something deleted sooner? Use the contact form with your ticket code (or quote the note) and we'll delete it.
What our hosting provider sees
Like every website, our host and network provider (Cloudflare) has to receive your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages, game rooms and form messages. Cloudflare may keep some of this briefly for security and abuse prevention, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We've switched off our own logging: no Worker logs, no invocation logs, no log exports, and our code never writes down an IP address. We don't receive Cloudflare's security logs.
The large desktop downloads may be served from a separate file host (Cloudflare R2 or GitHub Releases). Those hosts see your IP address when you download, under their own policies. We'll name the host on the download section once the links are live.
Links to other websites (for example, licence texts) take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Things we never do
We don't sell, rent, share or trade data, because we don't have any. We don't show ads, do profiling, or use your data to train anything.
Children
Our games and site are for ages 13 and up and aren't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included; we collect none to begin with. See Kids & COPPA.
Your rights
Because we don't know who you are, we can't look up "your data" by name. What we can do: show, correct or delete a thread if you give us its ticket code, and delete a public note if you quote it. Ask through the contact form and pick "Privacy".
Changes
If this ever changes (for example, if we add optional donations through a payment company, which would collect information about donors), we'll update this page before the change happens, with a new date at the top.
Questions
Use the contact form and pick "Privacy". You'll get a ticket code for our reply.
